Walking, cycling and running
In Sucuraj you can enjoy more than 40 km of scenic paths surrounding the town.
In recent times, narrow stone paths which used to lead to olive groves and vineyards have been expanded and are now perfect for recreation.
These paths guide you by the sea or up to the hills, through olive groves and forests and allow you to enjoy unspoiled nature and wonderful sights.

In Sucuraj you will be able to enjoy traditional Dalmatian specialities. There are several
Konobas (family run restaurants) which serve excellent island produce,
including locally caught fish, seafood and wild boar.
Hvar has a proud history of wine-making, ever since the ancient Greek settlers planted the original vines here. At Villa Palma we are passionate about making our own red and white wines as well as Rakijas (local grappa). We are also producing and selling our own olive oil, dried figs and liqueurs. During their stay, our guests have the opportunity of trying and purchasing directly from us.
Top Tip: In Jelsa there is the popular two day Festa Vina (Wine Festival) - not to be missed!
Fishermen's Nights, Tam Tam Music Festival and Klapa
Popular evening entertainment in Sucuraj
During July and August Sucuraj hosts lively folk parties also known as Ribarska Nights. These parties are very popular, with entertainment lasting all night long. Grilled fish and wine, local music and dancing, fun and games; all make for a perfect night out in Sucuraj!
For those who prefer rock and electronic music, since 2012 in august Sućuraj has been hosting the Tam Tam Music Festival. Taking place in the town's football pitch this popular two day event showcases popular local and foreign performers and DJs.
During the summer, often in front of St. George's church, Klapa concerts are held. "Klapa" is a group of 5 to 8 singers performing traditional a cappella Dalmatian songs accompanied by mandolin and guitar.
